Principal's Message
Dear Sabre families,
We are a little over a month away from the last day of classes as we start to look ahead and turn our focus to final exams and a successful completion of the 2021 - 2022 school year. Similar to the first semester, should your child require additional academic support in any of the academic or CTS course pathways, please reach out to your grade level team and we will individualize a plan accordingly.
A vast array of student excellence to recognize from this past week!
Congratulations to our amazing Sabre artists who were recognized for their excellence at the Strathcona County Student Art Show. Needless to say, amazing work! To view the show: visit www.artstrathcona.com

On the athletic front, Congratulations to our Senior girls Handball team for winning the Division One Championship this past Friday. Good luck to them as they are off to the provincial playdowns this weekend. This brings the number of division one championships at SAL this year to 5! While it is pretty cool for our past and present students to see the banners in the gym, what is more important than winning is having an outlet for fun and opportunity, which extracurricular activity provides, whether playing on a team or club and learning the valuable skills that these activities provide. Our students have carried themselves the ‘right way’, and have acted with class, grace and sportsmanship, be it at SAL or in performing in other venues across Alberta. We are so very proud of them.
Rugby, slo-pitch, track and field, and soccer are in full swing as we wrap up the final season of play and we wish these athletes tons of fun and the best of luck as well.
We are also excited for the production of Legally Blonde which is being held at Festival Place on May 16, 17, 18, and 19, 2022. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster, and are $20.00 per person.
In closing, have an excellent week and do let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
