About the universities
- The first universities were in bologna, Italy paris, and France
- Universities were made to educate or guide scholars (highly educated people)
- In medieval universities people studied , grammar logic, arithmetic geometry music and astronomy.
- Students did not have books because they were very rare at the time and also printing press wasn't created until the 1400
- Most of the time it took 4-6 years to get a basic degree. But to get a degree you have to pass an oral exam
- The word university comes from the Latin word guild (which means: pursuit for those with a common gaol)
