FAQ of the Week: What is an externship?

Externship is a relatively new term in the career world, but the concept is fairly simple. Similar to an internship, during an externship, you will be spending time learning about the operations of a company. However, instead of contributing to the work of the company, an externship is focused on shadowing a specific employee. Externships are also shorter in length than an internship, usually lasting from 1 day to 1 week. If you find yourself with free time during Thanksgiving or Winter break, you should strongly consider pursuing an externship and getting a taste of an industry that interests you! Check out DULink to access many different externship applications!
