Dec 18, 2022 : Week 18

A Note from Mr. Moeckel

Concord Families

Winter Parties are right around the corner! We are excited to offer another opportunity for our families to come to school and join in the fun. If you are planning on attending your child's classroom party, please sign up here. This go around, we are asking only one adult per student to attend and no siblings due to classroom space limitations.

To help the check in process go faster, we will print name tags ahead of time for those who have had their ID scanned this school year. If you have not had your ID scanned this school year, it would be helpful to stop by Concord before December 22nd to get it scanned.

St. Louis County Offers Free COVID-19, RSV, Flu Testing

Testing is one of our most important tools during the fall and winter months. The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services offers free drive-through testing for COVID-19, RSV and the flu at South County Health Center on Thursdays from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.. This testing will continue through March 2023.

Patients of all ages are able to get tested, no appointment required. To receive a test, simply enter the drive-through line at the clinic. Patients can pre-register through the NextGen patient portal, and they will receive results by email. If a patient does not have an email account, NextGen staffers will register them at the site and call them with results. The Get Tested patient portal can be found at dynd.gettested.me.

COVID test kits continue to be available for pickup at South County Health Center Mondays and Fridays, from 8 a.m. until noon. For more information please visit the DPH Testing page.

Kiwanis Winter Wear Coat Drive 2022 : Thank You!

Dear Lindbergh Community,

On behalf of the Crestwood-Sunset Hills Kiwanis Club, I would like to
thank everyone for their amazing generosity during the 2022 Winter
Wear Drive. Close to 800 usable items were collected and distributed
in the general area of St. Louis City and St. Louis County.

Students at Meramec, Monroe, and Patrick Henry Schools in St. Louis
City received winter wear in conjunction with the Toys for School Kids
Program. Additionally, 7 Angel Arms homes received coats, Catholic
Charities, and several Lindbergh students were also given what they
needed to stay warm.

It is safe to say that several hundred children and adults in our
community are warm this year thanks to the selflessness of the
Lindbergh Community.

Thank you again,

Sammye LaRose/Carol Gloss

Winter Weather Update for Families

As colder weather approaches, now is a good time to remind families and staff how we prepare for potential school closures that can result from snow, ice, or other severe weather events.

In the event of inclement weather, we will decide to close school based on a number of factors, including student safety, bus transportation, road conditions and wind chill temperature. When possible, the decision to close school is made by 10 p.m. the night before. However, if the decision cannot be made by 10 p.m., then a decision will be made between 5 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. the next morning.

If the decision is made to cancel school, all families and staff will receive a phone call, text message and email notification.
