October 25 band concert @ 6:30pm
This is no trick. Not everyone can eat when they're hungry. Thousands of your neighbors are without food. This Halloween, the Crabapple Middle School band under the direction of Gus Melton will hold a Fall Concert for Charity. Students will wear costumes or Halloween attire to the performance on Thursday, October 25 at 6:30 p.m. in the gym. Families are encouraged to bring items to be donated to NFC and HHH
.
Items on the wish list included canned goods, dried beans, tuna, pasta sauce, cereal, oatmeal, boxed meals such as mac and cheese, Hamburger Helper and Tuna Helper plus baby food. No pumpkins please.

Tumbling tryouts
Attention 7th and 8th grade students interested in trying out for the CMS Tumbling Team.
Tryouts will be held Monday, November 5th immediately after school till 5 pm in the gym. Students must have all of the paperwork on the link provided turned into Coach Thomas prior to trying out including a physical by a physician http://school.fultonschools.org/ms/crabapple/Pages/Athletics.aspx. CMS Morning Intramurals - Come participate!!
Intramurals are every morning beginning at 7:35 a.m. until 8:25. Drop off for intramurals is 7:35 a.m. where either Coach Jonsson or Coach Heninger will be waiting at carpool. If you can’t make drop off at 7:35, you will need to wait with your child till the building opens at 7:55 a.m. Intramurals are held in the gym Monday-Thursday and at the CMS tennis courts on Fridays weather permitting. A variety of activities will be offered. All you need to do to participate is fill out the attached form and turn it into Coach Thomas. Annual Grandparents Coffee –Please Join Us! You Must Register In Advance
All students are encouraged to invite their Grandparent(s) to this much enjoyed annual event featuring a special presentation by our students and refreshments. Photo submission may be sent to grade level link below by Monday, October 23rd so that we may compile the slideshow presentation. The form to participate must be completed and submitted to us by Monday, October 30th so that we can plan accordingly. Following the steps indicated below is critical as we’d like to include and list all attending grandparents in the photo presentation.

In addition, the PTA is asking for volunteers and food donations for this event. They need volunteers to help with food donations, set up, serving, and cleanup. Please specify what item(s) you will bring, including quantity. We are expecting approximately 150 grandparents and their grandchildren. You may drop off non- perishable donations (apple cider, orange juice, coffee, tea, non dairy creamer, etc.) starting, Monday, November 13th. Perishable food items (e.g. donuts, muffins, fruit, etc.) can be dropped off by 8:00am on the morning of November 16th. They recommend that you bring your items in a disposable container such as an aluminum pan or disposable tray. However, if you bring your item in a dish that you wish to be returned to you, please label the bottom of the serving dish with your full name so that they may return it to you by the following day. They will have time slots for which you may feel free to sign up to help during the event as well. We appreciate your time and donations! PTA Reflections
This year's National PTA Reflection contest is: "Heroes Around Me"
Submissions due October 19th!
Students may submit an original entry in any of six arts areas: Visual Arts (2D/3D), Photography, Literature, Music Composition, Dance Choreography, and Film Production. Students are encouraged to submit an original work of art that expresses the theme's sentiment. Entries will be judged on a district, then state and then can voted be selected to move on for a National award. Last year CMS had a photography entry make to the state level!

It’s Easy. Bring the non-perishable items below to donate to families in need.
6th: Canned Vegetables and Soups
7th: Boxed Starches -pasta, rice, stuffing, potatoes
8th: Boxed / Packaged Desserts
Drop them in the bins by the front office between 10/15 and 10/26. The grade with the most donations will win an outside seating day at lunch!

Roswell High School Football
On behalf of the Roswell High School Football Team and our Principal, Dr. Robert Shaw, we are extremely proud to have you and your school to cheer on the Roswell Hornets for the 2018 Football Season. Our primary objective is to provide you with a comfortable safe atmosphere for spectators and guest. The information enclosed is to inform our fans about our facilities, so that they will have an enjoyable experience. Please review the attached packet to ensure a successful trip to Roswell High School.
We ask that:
Students enter the stadium with a parent to purchase tickets
Due to Construction we ask that all students are sitting down in the stands during the game
All fans and spectators refrain from enter the field of play even after the game.
Gates will open promptly at 6pm. Parking is $5 and Tickets can be purchased for $8.00 at the home gate entrance or online at https://gofan.co/app/events/29068

The RHS Band Food Truck ExtravaBANDza
The Roswell High School Band is hosting a Food Truck ExtravaBANDza on Saturday, October 27th from 6:00 to 8:30pm. The RHS Band Food Truck ExtravaBANDza is a family friendly event held at the RHS Football Stadium. Presented by the Roswell High School Band Boosters, the event is planned, organized and hosted by our band parents. At 8:00, the RHS Hornet Swarm will take the field to perform this year’s program, “The Dividing Line”, twice! Once with commentary from the band director and the second time without commentary.
Come dressed for Halloween fun! RHS Band Students will provide Trunk-or-Treating for the younger kids. We will also have a balloon twister, face painting, selfie area, glitter tattoos and instrument playing center.
Be sure to participate in our 50/50 Raffle Drawing. Last year, our winner took home $2,500!
Admission is $5 per person to support the RHS Band (6 & under free.) This fee supports scholarships and travel expenses associated with running our award-winning band program. Please note: All students 8th grade and under MUST be accompanied by an adult/parent.
