Wilkerson Happenings

Congratulations to the Cousino Girls Basketball Team. Yesterday they won the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. Way to go.

March is Reading Month activities are in full swing. Last week, our students read more than 98,000 minutes. I think we can top that total this week. Each student who met the individual reading goal got a chance to play in a soccer shoot-out with me.

We now have a Wilkerson Twitter account. This will be used to send out pictures and information AS IT HAPPENS. Be sure to follow us: @WilkersonElem.

Our kindergarten classes had fun creating leprechaun traps, but they were not successful in catching any leprechauns. Maybe next year.

Our fifth grade teachers learned of a new, FREE, educational site. This site instructional videos, and practice for students in math and language arts. Sign up, try it out, and let us know if you like it. It is especially helpful for students and families struggling with common core math.
