Thank You!

A BIG thank you to those that donated items for the class basket and brought in 12 packs! We had a successful School Fair!

Louisville Bats Field Trip

The field trip is THIS Wednesday. Don't forget that if your child is bringing their lunch they bring it. Your child may bring a hat or sunglasses, but it is their responsibility. Please make sure they bring nothing else.

Cinco de Mayo

We will be learning about Cinco de Mayo on Thursday (5/5) and doing some fun activities. I would like to have some Mexican food for the students to try. If you would like to send in something, please let me know. Here are some ideas:

  • Tortilla chips
  • salsa (we could try different types)
  • cheese dip
  • guacamole
  • 7 layer dip
  • churros
  • lemonade/limeade
  • Mexican wedding cookies
  • Mexican chocolate brownies (recipe on Pinterest)

Book Fair

The Book Fair will be next week. This time it is buy one book, get one free (of equal or less value)!

Field Day

We will need volunteers to help set up Field Day and run the stations. If you are able to help, please let me know. Set up will begin at 10:00 AM and then the stations will start at 11:30 until the end of the day.

What We're Learning This Week

Writing: Friendly letters

Reading: Good-bye 382 Shin Dong Dang, main idea and supporting details

Spelling: Vowel Pattern au, augh, ou, ough

Math: Pictographs, bar graphs, probabilty (test on Tuesday)

Science: Rocks and minerals

May 26th - Kindergarten Graduation at 12:00 PM then Honors and Awards at 1:00 PM

May 27th - Last Day of School and Field Day (Report Cards will be sent home with students)

May 31st - IREAD summer testing
