Design Brief
Our goal is to design an object that will better the life of a person with a disability, particularly to help them clean.
Design Process
Research
There are hardly any objects that are attachable to a wheelchair that help clean. They few things are compartments in a wheel chair that hold cleaning supplies. They do make umbrellas that attach to wheelchairs but brooms can help more while trying to clean.

Prototype Solution
The broom attachment to the wheelchair is the easiest to build and access for disabled people and most effective for their daily life. The broom attachment is put on a wheelchair to help them clean their house. The attachment will be able to be lifted from the bottom. This allows the disabled to sweep lift up the broom and drive around to where other place there is needed to be sweeped.
Math and Science Concepts
We use math and science in designing how the broom will sweep things and be able to throw stuff away. Using math and science we decided to put the broom at an angle.
Technology involved
its simple design makes it easily accessible by the handicapped. It uses levers to a move the broom and sweep.
Impacts on the Environment and Society
This will bring a positive effect because it makes it easier for the handicapped to clean. The ability of the handicapped to clean their house on there own will help improve their life greatly. They may even be able to get a job so they can provide for themselves.
Refrences
There are independent makers of dust mop wheel attachment for wheelchairs.
