January 26-30
100th Day of School!
News This Week
Remember that we have the first grade program coming up during the next PTA meeting in February. Most people have returned their forms saying if they could attend or not. We are looking forward to this patriotic program.
February 13th is a misprint on the school calendar - it is a FULL day of school. We will be celebrating with the annual Mardi Gras parade and some fun Valentine activities. Students can bring valentines for their class members (we have 20 students). More information will come home soon.
I've noticed we are struggling, as a class, with our writing skills. I will be pumping up our in class writing from sentences and responses to full papers. It is past time for everyone to be writing in full, complete, grammatically correct sentences and I'll be adding in a lot of writing to make sure we can all do this. You might see some random papers with sentences on them come home and these are probably just practice in different ways. Our class is very bright and speaks very well. We just need to transfer it to the page!
