Principal's Message
Dear Oak Hills Families,
With warmer weather here next week, it is time to review our dress code and safety standards at school. Children should not wear flip‐flops or backless shoes to school. Even though flip-flops are really hip now, they are not safe on the playground. Additionally, clothing should not be too short or so skimpy that it shows undergarments or midriffs. Halter-tops or spaghetti straps are also inappropriate for school. Students can wear halter-tops or spaghetti straps if they wear a t-shirt under the top or dress. Thank you so much for your assistance with the dress code.
On another note, we have some staff members who are leaving or retiring from Oak Hills. Kathy Wiggins, our Library Media Specialist, will be heading to Ohio in June to be with her husband who has recently accepted a position out there. Kathy is eager to explore this next chapter in her life. Leslee Woeltje, our Instructional Assistant, will be retiring at the end of this school year. Leslee has provided reading instruction for our students at Oak Hills for many years. We are so appreciative of the work these ladies have done for our students. I will keep you posted on additional staff changes when I have more information.
Enjoy the bit of sun this weekend.
Warm regards,
Sheila Baumgardner
