No School on October 11-12
Good morning D103 families,
We would like to inform you of some upcoming changes to the school day.
No School Monday, October 11, due to the holiday, Indigenous Peoples’/Columbus Day.
No School Tuesday, October 12, due to a Teacher Institute Day.
Late Arrival Day Thursday, October 21. Students in grades K-8 will start school 90 minutes later than their normal start time. The purpose of late arrival days is to provide teachers with time to collaborate with colleagues.
Sprague starts at 9:45 a.m.
Half Day starts at 10:30 a.m.
Daniel Wright starts at 10 a.m.
Thursday, October 21, is a nonattendance day for students in early childhood classes. Early Childhood parents are invited to a 10 a.m. Parent Coffee on this day where the teachers will present on the “Pathways to Success in Early Childhood.”
103 Club
The 103 Club is in session on nonattendance days. The Club will operate its normal hours on Late Arrival Days. 103 Club is available to students who regularly attend the program and have preregistered to attend the 103 Club on those nonattendance days.

Vaccination Clinic
The Lake County Regional Office of Education is hosting a COVID-19 Pfizer vaccination clinic for individuals 12 and older getting their first dose or third dose (if you qualify) at the Central Permit Facility, 500 W. Winchester Rd., Libertyville. People getting their first dose should sign up for Saturday, October 9. People getting their third dose may sign up for October 9 or Saturday, October 30. The clinic is open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Please book an appointment today.
Food Pantry
Congregation Beth Am provides non-perishable food for the community. The congregation is also looking for non-perishable donations. Please visit the Congregation Beth Am website for more information on donating or picking up food items.

The Midwest Young Artists Conservatory (MYAC) is hosting a Double Reed Festival on October 24, at Ravinia’s Bennett Gordon Hall, Highland Park. This event is open to all ages and to the local community, but may be especially interesting to students who play a double reed instrument.
