The Weekly Connection
Updates from the Principal's Office - October 9th, 2022
Message from Mrs. Jones
We continue a focus this week on the "Kickoff to College & Career" with the PSAT for all 11th grade students on Wednesday, October 12th, as well as college/career readiness activities for all 9th, 10th, and 12th grade students.
Did you know that all students have access to a wealth of college & career resources through Naviance? Students can access this tool by logging into Clever and navigating to the Naviance icon. This program will walk students through building a resume, writing college application essays, researching areas of study and career interests, and much more.
We are also excited to celebrate Homecoming Week beginning Monday, October 10th! Our ASB has planned a fun week of activities (check out the spirit days below), concluding with "A Night in the City," this year's Homecoming Dance, which will be held on campus this Saturday, October 15th, from 7-10pm.
As a reminder, October marks:
- The "Kickoff to College & Career" with a month of activities related to preparing for what comes next
- Homecoming and the many celebrations related to spirit week, cheering on our extracurricular programs, and the first dance of the school year
- Red Ribbon Week, where students are provided opportunities to educate themselves on the dangers associated with substance use, as well as how to access support for substance abuse
Be sure to ask your student about these and other events as they happen throughout the month. If you have any questions about activities occurring during this next month, please do not hesitate to reach out to us!
Please take a moment to review the "Resources" section available below. If there is something you need, please feel free to reach out by telephone at (760) 723-6300 x3110, x3102, or x3103 or by email through our website.
Let's make this a great week, Warriors!
