It's BULLYING AWARENESS MONTH!

Please talk to your student about Bullying. Bullying is defined as Repeated unwanted, aggressive behavior that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The following is a great resource for parents and of course encourage your child to report any instances of bullying to a trusted adult.

VAPING is on the RISE!

Large surveys of youth substance use, both national and state-focused, have been tracking youth vaping for less than ten years. Locally, we have PA Youth Survey vaping data starting in 2015–after the sharpest rises in use by teens. We can see from the last three surveys that 1 in 10 or more students vape regularly, although they may not always know if they are vaping nicotine, just flavoring, marijuana, or other substances.

ESSER III Stakeholder Input

The American Rescue Plan (ARP) Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER 3.0) is providing funding to the state of Pennsylvania and schools to address COVID-19 recovery.

AGCS will receive a portion of these funds, but it does come with strict guidelines for how it can be used.

ESSER III funding is available to help safely reopen schools and address the impacts of the pandemic on students’ academic, social, emotional and mental health needs, including interventions to address “learning loss” — delays in students' academic progress related to the pandemic — and support equity with services and supports for student populations that have been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic.


AGCS is seeking feedback from stakeholders, such as parents, students, employees and community members, to assist in developing its plan, and specifically the use of these funds.


We kindly ask you to complete the short survey in order to gather feedback on how we can use ESSER III Funds in a meaningful way.

Parent Family Engagement Series

At AGCS, we strive to build genuine relationships with our students and their families. Relationships with families support overall family well-being and children's healthy development. When families are engaged, partnerships are created that have a common focus – helping children grow and thrive.


We realize that the current social distancing requirements can be stressful, at best. The global pandemic requires us to re-think how we do even the most normal, everyday tasks and how we navigate it all safely with our children.


To help support our rock star parents through this time, we're offering a free series of Parent Family Engagement Workshops on a variety of topics. We look forward to your joining us!
