The Nile river is the longest river in the world. It is about 4,135 miles. The Nile was the most important resource in Egypt because it grew plants that were useful( papyrus) ,was excellent for farming,and had food like fish.

.The Nile flows from the south to the north. . Two of the six cataracts along the Nile were in ancient Egypt. The elevation of the Nile is higher in the south and lower in the north.
