Entering TAG Winners
Just a friendly reminder that the Tomahawk Tag Student List can only be opened by one person at a time. Please remember when you open it to quickly go in and add your student names, click SAVE then exit out of it so others can use it. This is especially true on Thursdays when many are trying to enter information. Thank you.
Assessment Update- Problems in KITE with the MDPT
Several schools have reported problems with the MDPT freezing up when the student tries to close the test. We have learned that it is critical for students to press the Save icon about every 3 minutes to retain their work even if KITE freezes up at the end of the session.
If KITE does freeze at the end of a session, CETE recommends pressing Ctrl-Alt-Delete. Our experience is that around 50% of students still lose all of their work when this happens. In those cases, the students will have to be re-activated and will have to redo all of their work. CETE is trying fix this issue
Attention K, 1st, 3rd, 4th, & 5th Grade Teachers:
Scoring the MDPT on the Assessment Scoring Day – April 15
- On the district-wide assessment scoring day all elementary teachers (except those in grade 2), all social studies teachers, all science teachers, and all middle-school ELA teachers will score the MDPT.
- These teachers need to have an account at the Educator Portal (CETE). The Assessment department has created accounts for most teachers. The department is still working adding kindergarten teachers, first grade teachers, elementary resource teachers, and ELL teachers, Title I teachers. In the next couple of weeks, those teachers will be sent an email about activating their account.
- Details on how to score the MDPT have not been released by KSDE. We will forward them to schools when we receive them.
