A Note from Ms. Owens
Thank you to everyone who sent milk jugs in for our preschool classes. The teachers have shared that they have enough to build their igloos, so please do not send any more milk jugs. I'm sure we'll see some pictures of them when they are finished!
Be on the look out for 2019 Smart Tuition Family Year End Statements. They went home in today's White Envelopes.
Tomorrow, Friday, January 24, we will have an early dismissal at 1PM.
- Students will be here for lunch, so please send your student with a lunch.
- There will be no extended care that afternoon. Please make arrangements to have your child picked up at 1PM.
On Sunday, the national celebration of Catholic Schools Week begins. We will kick off our week-long festivities with Mass at 9AM followed by Open House from 10AM-noon. If you have friends and family who are looking for an academically strong, faith-centered educational community, please let them know about SCA.
Thank you for all you do to support the St. Catherine community!
Peace,
Kristine Owens

8th Grade Retreat - Day of the Spirit - Saturday, February 1, 2020
Reminder: If your sponsor is out of town and unable to attend, another not-parent adult must attend in his/her place. The sponsor must email Mrs. Lynch (melynch@scaoaklawn.org) at least one week in advance to get a list of questions to be answered. During the retreat, the candidates will be interviewing their sponsors. Mrs. Lynch will print the answers received and give them to the candidate during this time.
Altar Servers Sign Ups
Parents of altar servers should have received an email from Mrs. Lynch regarding signing up for altar serving for weekend Masses for the remainder of the school year. The link to the sign up is also below.
If you did not receive an email, please send Mrs. Lynch (melynch@scaoaklawn.org) your email address for future mailings.
As always, we appreciate the service of our altar servers and their families.
4th Grade Family Mass
Our 4th grade Family Mass will be on Sunday, February 2, 2020. There are opportunities for students to participate more actively in the Mass by being a reader or gift bearer. There are also opportunities for families to help make the morning special by participating in one of the hospitality roles – set-up, serving, clean -up or baking.
We hope all of our 4th grade students and their families will join us as we pray together and then gather for social time in Kane Hall.
Please use the link below to sign up your student for a role in the Mass or yourself as
part of the hospitality team.

So Many On-going Ways to Support St. Catherine!
Tuesday Hot Lunch Ordering
The link for placing hot lunch orders is below. Please remember that ordering closes at noon the day before delivery.
There will, of course, be days when parents have ordered a hot lunch and their child is absent. On those days, parents (or another designated person) are welcome to pick up the child's lunch. In order for this to happen, parents must notify the school of the hot lunch pick-up prior to 11 AM and then the actual lunch must be picked up before 12:30 PM. We cannot keep lunches beyond that or send them home with students due to food safety regulations.
