Asian long horned beetles

Tyler Dannecker

The long horned Asian beetle (anoplophora glabirpennis) has a 1 1/2 black body with white spots

birth place and method of transportation

the birth place is in Asia and came over through wood packing materials like crates and pallets

where they have been last seen

through out all of america and especially through the north east and south east

the adult Asian Long Horned Beetle buries its eggs into trees and the larva digs farther into the tree and kills the veins in the tree that provide the top of the tree with nutrients

to prevent the spread of the Asian Long Horned Beetle is not to move firewood and to inspect trees for the damage and cut it down
