Maverick Minutes
Happy New Year!
So Long 2017
As you leave on tomorrow, please walk out with your hands empty. Take time to enjoy every facet of family and friends. Go and have fun! You have given 100% first semester, you have remained positive in moments of frustration and COVERAGE! You have done all that has been asked...so go and have a wonderful holiday season.
As always, travel safe, be smart, be safe and return happy, relaxed and rejuvenated to take on the new semester. I know I certainly will. I appreciate all of you and the work that you do for these students. May you all have a blessed holiday season!
Liz

Reigning in the Kids!
Again, thank you for the good work first semester! We see a lot of good things happening in the building that make me proud to be a Maverick! We see:
1. More kids reading during MavTime!
2. Kids speaking and spreading more kindness...it is contagious and catching some!
3. Walkthroughs in which students are engaged and on task meeting the standards!
4. PLC planning that is evident in the walkthroughs and observations!
5. Students working hard to be advocates for various groups.
1. Cell Phones (8th Grade)
2. Students in the Hallways (It is usually the same students over and over...all grades)
3. Kill Yourself Notes (All Grade Levels)
4. Little Use of the Agendas (Do we need to continue to purchase them...all grades)
5. Cafeteria and Walk Procedures (Let's revisit that at the beginning of the year!)
