Swansboro Elementary
October 6, 2019
Congratulations goes out to Kenadie Bennett, Emma Sanders and Madelyn Yates - who, out of 612 auditions across North Carolina, were chosen to participate in the Elementary Honors Chorus next month in Winston-Salem. We are so proud of you! Sponsorship banner papers went home this week. If you would like a sign made for your child or your business, please fill out the form with the check payable to SBES PTO and send to the front desk. Once the PTO receives your request and payment PTO will reach out to the customer to finish the transaction. Banners are $500 for 48 X 46 and $200 for 36 x 24 and will stay up all year. If you are interested in purchasing one and have questions, please contact Nicole at 910-320-3648. Onslow County Schools is desperately in need of bus drivers. If you are interested in becoming a bus driver, see the attached flyer below. The next round of bus driver classes will be Nov. 4-6th. If you could use a little break, SBHS students and staff are hosting a Parents Night Out event on Oct. 12th 6-9 pm. The cost is $20 for the first child and $15 for additional siblings. Don't forget about our Yearbook Cover Contest. This is completely optional; however, if your child would like to enter the contest, all entries must be submitted by Oct. 15th. The theme is Swansboro Elementary Spirit and no late entries will be accepted. Don't forget to keep clipping those Box Tops and please go ahead and start sending them in. It would be helpful if you could neatly trim all Box Tops and make sure that they are not expired. If you put them in a Ziploc bag with your child's name and teacher's name, we will be sure to give your child's teacher credit. There will be a dance party for the class that collects the most box tops. Box Tops are also digital now, so please download the app and start scanning those receipts. We already have over $120 in digital Box Tops. Tomorrow is a regular student day. This is a make up day from Dorian.Tuesday night is our Papa John's Spirit Night. If you would like to help on the Spring Carnival Planning meeting they will be having their meeting on Thursday the 10th at 08:30 in the cafeteria and if you cannot make that one, they will also be meeting at 6 pm in the media center. This Saturday is the Mullet Festival!
