What is terrorism?
Terrorism is the use of violence and intimidation in the following of political views. They feel they have to do horrible things to others to get their point across to others.
Why it happens.
People use terrorism to get their point across. They make demands, make threats, and sometimes go as far as violence. They want their political views to be heard. There has been attacks on places because of terrorism, like 9/11, Paris Attacks, Boston Marathon Bombings, and the Brussels Bombings.
Why is it a Global Issue?
People around the world are effected by terrorism. People are under the fear that they could be taken from home and killed, or being taken and held captive. Families lose their loved one from attacks. When people hear the word "terrorism" their minds go straight to Muslims. But there are more then just Muslims that do terrorist acts, all over the world.
People normally think in two ways when trying to find an effective way to end terrorism. Peace or Violence. People thinking the violent way, always say you need to go into their territory and just blow them to bits. The peace keepers try to keep them quite and make them as happy as possible. But neither of those are effective. You need to get to the root of the problem. Figure out why they think they should be a terrorist. Maybe they were forced to be or they really believe in what they're doing. The best thing you could possibly do is convince them otherwise. Try to get them to believe in something else. Or bring them to stop the violence.
