Leadership & Resiliency Group
The Leadership and Resiliency Group for grades 10-12 is now up and running every Wednesday during senior high CHAT. Thank you to all the CHAT teachers for supporting these students and our new group! This group focuses on development of skills relating to healthy relationships, coping, goal setting, resilience/perseverance through community involvement and adventure activities. Once a month as a group we will volunteer somewhere in our community. We will also take the students out once per month for an "adventure activity" of their choice.
Student Pantry
The My Place room now has a student pantry. This pantry is for students who simply don't have food at home for whatever reason. A huge thanks to Randy Knight and Jody Lamb for setting up the physical pantry and stocking it full! We have filled the pantry with simple ingredients so kids can make easy nourishing meals at home. There are also some personal hygiene items and dish soap. There is also a supply of grocery bags, reusable bags and backpacks for students to get their items home in. The only rule to the pantry is that an adult staff member must be present to supervise the student's "shopping." Thank you to everyone who has donated items in support of this project!
CHHS School Council
Our CHHS School Council meetings take place on the last Monday of each month at 6:30 pm in the Library. All parents and guardians are welcome to attend.
The next meeting is January 27th, 2020.
