Pennies for Patients is calling all heroes to join our squad!
Our school has decided to take on blood cancer and our mission is to help find a cure. Be on the lookout for more information coming home with your child on Monday that will allow your child to participate in this rewarding event that emphasizes the importance of social and emotional learning and gaining the experience of helping both children and adults in their fight against blood cancer. Check out the school link then:
1. Look on the right side and click on “Join classroom team.”
2. Then click “create a new account.”
3. Enter the required info and you will have set up your child’s personal page.
4. Once in your account, select “join a team” and search for our child’s homeroom teacher’s name. Homerooms will be competing for most money raised and the winning homeroom will receive a catered Olive Garden lunch! You definitely want your donations to count towards your child’s homeroom.
If you have any questions, contact Maggie Nelms at nelmsmr@fultonschools.org
AVID tutors needed
Our AVID elective class is in need of tutors! AVID is a 7th grade connections class for motivated students who are focused on high achievement in all their academic courses. You DO NOT need to be an expert in 7th grade curriculum. You just need to be willing to learn the AVID tutorial process and have a desire to help students succeed. The bonds built between tutors and students are so meaningful and rewarding for all. This is a paid position and training is provided. There is a small fee for fingerprinting and badging for adult tutors.
High school students currently enrolled in a Fulton County school, do not need to be fingerprinted. Adults are paid $15/hr and high school students are paid $10/hr. Tutorials take place every Tuesday and Thursday during 1st (9 am-9:42 am) and 7th (2:20-3:10 pm) periods. Right now we are in need of 1 more tutor for our 1st period class and 2 more tutors for our 7th period class. This is a semester long commitment. Current college students will be paid the adult rate.
If you are interested, please contact Maggie Nelms at nelmsmr@fultonschools.org. Thank you!

Morning Intramurals
Morning Intramurals have begun!! The Intramural Registration Form on the following link is all that is needed to participate https://school.fultonschools.org/ms/crabapple/Pages/Athletics.aspx. Please turn the form into Coach Thomas.
Intramurals are each week Monday-Thursday in the gym. On Fridays, intramurals will be held at the CMS tennis courts weather permitting. A variety of activities are offered each week. Students may arrive at 7:45 am. An intramural leader will let students in the building at that time. If a student arrives after 7:45 they will need to wait until the building is opened to all students at 7:55 and then proceed to the gym.
On Fridays, students may report directly to the tennis courts. Intramurals ends at 8:25 each morning, students may come down anytime to participate. A student may attend as many days as they wish as long as they have turned in the Intramural Registration Form.
If you have any questions please contact Coach Thomas (ThomasJ4@fultonschools.org), Coach Jonsson (JonssonM@fultonschools.org) or Coach Heninger (Heninger@fultonschools.org).
