November NSE Mustang Message
#BetterTogether
Message from the Principal
We are thankful for all of our students! They come to school ready to learn. They listen to their teachers and do their best each and every day. We are very proud of the progress they are working towards.
We are thankful for our parents! Our wonderful parents make sure their child is at school and encourage him/her to learn as much as possible every day. They stay in communication with their child's teacher to ensure we are all working together to help students be successful. They make us feel appreciated and the feeling is certainly mutual!
We are thankful for an amazing staff! All of our teachers, assistants, and other staff members are dedicated to our students. They all go well out of their way to help our students no matter what their role is. The teachers spend many hours of their own time to prepare for the lessons taught each week. The culture at NSE is truly a blessing.
We are thankful for our school board and district administration! They all go the extra mile to make sure we are supported and have what we need to help our children be successful. Adding all day PK this year is one of many examples of the wonderful things they do.
Last, but not least, we are thankful for our community. Our community may be small, but our hearts are big! We appreciate the support we have received as we work on improving and growing.
Like I said, we have A LOT to be thankful for. The wonderful part about all of the things we are thankful for is how it directly impacts the success of our students. With the great support of all of the people mentioned above, they (YOU) will no doubtably make a difference.
If you are reading this, you are more than likely one of the above mentioned heroes. Thank you for all you do. It takes all of us to make an impact. Your encouragement, hard work and dedication is appreciated!
Sincerely,
Lundy Atkins
NSE Principal

Help your child's class win next month by making sure your child attends school each and every day! The winning classes get a treat and get to hold on to the attendance trophy for the month.

Attendance Reminder
PK graduation is determined by attendance. If a PK student misses more than 17 days in the school year he or she will not be able to participate in graduation. All other grades are at risk of retention if 90% attendance is not met. Most of all, each day missed is a missed opportunity to learn. Unless a child is sick, he or she needs to be in school.
Our goal for the year is to reach 97% attendance. Help us reach our goal!
