State Pom Pon Competition

The Pom team placed 3rd in the Large School Military category, and they earned Division 1 ratings in Class 14 Pom and Class 8 Jazz!

MUSKIE BASEBALL LENDS A HELPING HAND


Members of the Muscatine High School Baseball team along with their family and community members helped unload over 1600 bags of food on Saturday, December 5th that will help feed families at The Salvation Army.

MHS Bowling

The Muskie bowlers had their home opener on Dec. 15th hosting Burlington at the Rose Bowl. The varsity boys won 2725 to 1831. Jon VanEst led the Muskies with a two-game series of 398, followed by Anthony Colon's 387 two-game series. The Varsity girls beat Burlington with a score of 2695 to 1880. Christin Swank led the Muskie girls with a two-game series of 412 and Jaelynn Klein followed with a 403 series. The girls JV team defeated Burlington with Kaitlyn Bierman leading the Muskies with a 341 two-game series. The JV boys were defeated by Burlington. Nicholas Latimer led the JV boys with a 268 two-game series.

Holiday Vocal Concert

Jonathan Ryan and Teale Burford direct the MHS Choirs (Acapella, Concert, Freshman and Treble choirs) during the Holiday Concert on Dec. 14. Bob Danner and Cynthia Smith are the accompanists.

MHS Students Tour William Penn University & Musco Lighting

Mr. Mayer took a group of manufacturing and agriculture students to tour William Penn University’s Industrial Technology department in Oskaloosa, Iowa. The tour consisted of visiting the Manufacturing/Welding Lab, Wood Technology Lab, and the Electronics/ Alternate Energy Lab on campus. Following the tour and lunch at William Penn, the students then toured Musco’s Specialty Production line. This line is where the company builds and designs prototype lights and specialty lighting fixtures.
