Riveted Pants
Denim pants had already been invented but without rivets. Jacob Davis and Levi Strauss had the idea of putting rivets on the stress points on the pants such as the corners of the pockets and the base of the button fly. His customers were gold miners and needed tough pants. They called them blue jeans and later adopted the name Levis. They only costed $1.25. The Blue Jeans are more American and more popular than any other clothing product.
