William D. Cuts Jr. High Newsletter

May 2022

A MESSAGE FROM OUR ADMIN:

They say April flowers bring May flowers. Hopefully it is the same for April snow. It has certainly been nice to see the grass greening up and the gravel swept away. Students have been outside more and more, and rugby and track are underway. May will be a busy month for activities; please make sure to check the dates in the newsletter so you don’t miss anything.

April was a successful month for WD Cuts students. The drama crew was at a competition and took home 3 certificates of achievement and a trophy for overall performance. Hats off to all the participants and Mrs. Malbon for her guidance. Our badminton teams were also highly successful. They won the city championship for overall score across grades 7-9. Congratulations to everyone who played and thank you to all of the coaches.

If you haven’t done so already, make sure your students' registration and option selections are completed. Both are done through the PowerSchool parent portal. If you need any assistance with this, call the school office and someone will walk you through it. Registration for our Rec Academy and Pursuit Education Program are still open. The registration links and more information about the programs are on the school website.

As always, please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions.

Cory and Matt
