What is a Dolphin ?
Dolphins are mammals that means they have warm blood and breath air. You can find them in a marine park, far from the coast, and sometimes close to land. Dolphins are very friendly. There are a lot of types of Dolphins.
Sizes and Types of Dolphins
Dolphin's bodies come in a range of sizes. The largest species is the Orca, or Killer Whale, it may grow up to 30 feet in length and weigh more than 8 tons. Fully grown male dolphins are larger than female dolphins. Several small species, including the Black dolphin of Chile and the Hectors dolphin of New Zealand measures up to 5 feet long.

Did you know that Dolphins have stripes? Well, yes, Dolphins do have stripes. Did you also know that some dolphins have dots all over their body? Some dolphins have gray, black, tan, white or pink areas. Just because of their dots, stripes and colored areas doesn't mean they're different from other dolphins, they're still the same as the other dolphins, just born with a different gene.
