At a Glance
We had a "Seussical" week! On Wednesday, we spent time in each kindergarten classroom doing activities based on a Seuss book. Here is a glimpse at the books and activities:
Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can you?- All the kindergarten students learned farm animal names in French.
And To Think I Saw It On Mulberry Street- We wrote "To think I saw it on the yellow hall at Midway."
Wacky Wednesday- It all started with a shoe on the wall.
Bartholomew and the Oobleck- We made green oobleck.
Green Eggs and Ham- We tasted green eggs and ham.
Visit: http://www.seussville.com. This site is all about Dr. Seuss. It has games, information, and videos.
We will begin our nursery rhymes and fairy tale study next week. Have fun practicing the nursery rhymes with your child.
In math, we will begin learning the names and attributes of solid shapes in geometry in French.
Joyeux Anniversaire en mars:
Sadie le 17
Jacob le 21
Pratiquez en français:
Les Quatre Saisons:
l’hiver (leave-air) winter
le printemps (pran-tawn) spring
l’été (lay-tay) summer

Continue to review the 4 seasons. Ask your child to describe the weather or a characteristic for each season in French and to tell you their favorite season. "J'aime ...."
