Newsletter - Term 1, Week 9

Principal
It's good to be back on deck after a few days in isolation!!! You can certainly notice the tiredness around the place with students and staff - a similar pattern amongst school's around Southland at the moment.
We are looking forward to Term 2 and hopefully things starting to transition back to normal.
Thank you to everyone who attended the 'Get to Know You Conferences' this week. I hope you found this a beneficial experience and used it as a good time to meet your child's teacher and discuss how your child learns. We will look to have our next round of parent interviews half way through the year and that will be focussed around discussing the progress that has been made to date.
Nga mihi,
Simon Bell

A great week with lots happening.
Pictures of our Old McDonalds Restaurant song that is very popular, mostly about touching each other in a gentle and kind way. Chopping, Rolling, wiping, swishing……
We were really lucky to have Alan showing us what to do in an emergency. Using the 111 number, how to explain the problem to this service.
The PALS activity this week was cool too, we got to play a tag game with the foam things.
In class we made volcanos for writing and it was super popular.
Very pleased to see some rain and hope the weekend is enjoyable.
