K-2 Connections
News, Inspiration, & Ideas for our K-2 Family- Sept. 2019
Welcome Back!
A new school year is like a brand new notebook, with stories waiting to be written! What do you want the story of your classroom to be this year? What stories will you share with your students? What stories can we share with each other to help us get through the challenging days that always seem to come?
I've always liked second days so much better than first days. First days have filled me with nervous anticipation but second days bring familiar faces and routines beginning to develop. By the second day, I feel like my teacher self is slipping back on where the first day can feel a little rusty from months of being my summer self.
Do you have a memorable first day of school? What stands out as one of the best first days? Or one of the worsts?!
Back to School Read Alouds
If you are looking for a new book to share with your students (or a "new to you" book), please stop in and feel free to borrow one or more of these titles! I would also love to come in and read aloud to your students so let me know if there is a time that would work for you and if you prefer me to read a specific book. If you have any books you recommend for back to school read alouds, let me know so I can share with our team.
