Brain Hemispheres
by Connie Cisneros
Hemisphericity
There are two sides of the brain, the left and the right side, and both have different functions. This is called Hemisphericity. These two sides join in a thick band of fiber nerves called the corpus callosum, where the brain cells in one hemisphere connects to those in the other.
Left Hemisphere
The left side is responsible for words, logic, numbers, analysis, linearity and sequences. It also controls the right side of your body.
Right Hemisphere
The right side is the creative side of the brain and is responsible for rhythm, color, imagination, daydreaming, holistic awareness, and dimension. It also controls the left side of your body.
Corpus Callosum
The Corpus callosum allows the two hemispheres to keep up a continuous conversation using the thick band of nerve fibers as a neural bridge.
