Go Fourth!!!
News & tidbits from the 4th grade at HRRS
January 25, 2016
Hey, parents! I am pleased to report that all of our fourth graders are progressing in their speed and accuracy on their multiplication facts, and their other basic math operations. I think we can attribute it to the consistent practice and daily testing we have been doing. Some students still have a long way to go to be at grade level, but I am happy with the forward progress. We'll keep working and will be adding division to our speed drill testing soon.
Catholic Schools Week is rapidly approaching. Keeping in mind that if your student does not wish to participate in the Spirit Day dress-up days, they must come to school in full uniform as usual. Here are the themes for the Spirit Days to dress up on and events to participate in:
Monday: Pajama Day
Tuesday: Sports Day
Wednesday: Flip-Flop Day (students dressing up as teachers; teachers dressing up as HRRS students)
Thursday: Grandparents Day ~ full uniform for Mass
Friday: Color Wars Assembly/pep rally 2:00pm. 4th Grade should come decked out in green from head-to-toe (yes!, my favorite color!). Bible/Religion Trivia contests among grade levels will be going on as well.
Thursday, the 28th is Audrey's birthday. To celebrate the event, Mrs. Nguyen has kindly decided to treat our class to a pizza lunch in our classroom at our normally scheduled lunch time. You will not have to send your child lunch that day unless your child would like to have something else. Sounds like fun!
Have a lovely evening!
