North Carolina Virtual Public Schools, Mrs. Melissa Partin
May 2nd - This Week's Assignments and Deadlines
In Module Fourteen, you will learn about acids and bases. You will be able to identify common acids and bases and summarize their characteristics. A common acid is found in citrus fruit; a common base is household bleach. You will develop an understanding of the pH scale that defines acids and bases. We will also be investigating the solubility of solutions in a little more depth.
It is important that you, the student, use the pacing guide that I provide each week to track your progress with your weekly assignments! All assignments for Module Fourteen are due on Friday, May 6th at midnight. Click below for the Module Fourteen Pacing Guide.
ALSO, MODULES 1-8 ARE NOW RE-OPENED SO THAT YOU MAY BEGIN STUDYING FOR YOUR FINAL EXAM AND COMPLETE ANY THIRD QUARTER WORK. YOU HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO BRING UP YOUR COURSE GRADE BY BRINGING UP YOUR GRADE FROM THE LAST NINE WEEKS!
Also, you will need to utilize the Physical Science Reference Table this week which provides essential formulas for our mathematical problems as well as the periodic table to answer questions. Click here to download the Reference Table.
