The Battle of Issus

The battle of Issus was just the beginning of Alexander's Persian military campaign. Alexander and his army was vastly outnumbered and outgunned.Being a military genius, Alexander positioned his men at a mountain pass where the Persian numbers would be useless, because numbers are only one factor of war. He raised the moral of his Macedonian troops. The main factor that lead to his victory was the Greek battle position, The Phalanx. This lead to a Persian defest and retreat.
