We are an AP CAPSTONE School!

AP Capstone™ is a diploma program from College Board based on two yearlong AP courses: AP Seminar and AP Research.

"Rather than teaching subject-specific content, these courses develop students’ skills in research, analysis, evidence-based arguments, collaboration, writing, and presenting. Students who complete the two-year program can earn one of two different AP Capstone awards, which are valued by colleges across the United States and around the world. Students who earn scores of 3 or higher in AP Seminar and AP Research and on four additional AP Exams of their choosing receive the AP Capstone Diploma™. Students who earn scores of 3 or higher in AP Seminar and AP Research but not on four additional AP Exams receive the AP Seminar and Research Certificate™."

What is Ed-Rising? Is your student interested in becoming an educator?

Educators Rising is a career and technical student organization (CTSO) with intra-curricular learning opportunities integrated into existing education and training programs that we have at CHS. Educators Rising is a community-based movement that provides Grow Your Own programming through the Educators Rising Curriculum and supporting student activities. With a presence in all 50 states, chapters are provided classroom resources along with the opportunity to attend the National Conference where members, teacher leaders, and educators from around the nation come together to showcase the skills they have gained in their education and training programs.

**We offer Leadership Development, Ed Development and Psychology, Classroom Plan and Management, and the The Professional Teacher courses at CHS with our Ed-Rising teacher/coordinator, Susan Brunner.

Nurse's corner

Attention parents/guardians of new students to CHS and MSBSD.

The school nurse will be calling your student to the nurse office to complete required screenings for vision, hearing, height/weight, blood pressure and dental checks. If you have any questions or concerns, please call the nurse office. Be sure they are bringing their glasses to school if their doctor has prescribed them!!

Students are required to be up to date on all immunizations. Please provide a record of your Tdap or immunizations that you have been notified your child is due to the school nurse ASAP.

Thank you for all you do for our students and helping them be prepared to focus on school each day!

Please call or stop by if your student needs support for medical needs.
