DAVIS HILL COMMUNITY WEEKLY UPDATE
March 19, 2018
I know I join everyone in hoping that the mid-week storm that the meteorologists are watching goes out to sea this week so we can have a full, five-day week of school! Thanks to everyone for your flexibility as we do our best to maintain a sense of consistency and routine during this period of 'snowy' weather.
Enjoy the week everyone!
Kindly,
Jay C. Norton, Principal

DAVIS HILL PTA NIGHT AT THE RAILERS
There will be a final Railers event for this year. The game will be held on Sunday April 8th at 3:05. It will be the last game of the season. Deadline to purchase tickets will be March 31st and tickets will be given out the first week in April. Please order tickets through the link below.
Link: MCAS Schedule
This year our students will be taking the MCAS on the computer. This is a change for our students as we have historically completed MCAS testing using paper/ pencil materials. As is true with any change, there will be some challenges associated with our transition to the computer based platform. As a staff, we will be working together to support our students through this change.
For more information on MCAS, please see the link from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).
Worcester Bravehearts Reading Program
Students who were interested had the opportunity to bring home bookmarks from the Worcester Bravehearts this week regarding the reading program this spring. This is completely VOLUNTARY and if students want to participate the Bravehearts have really streamlined the process this year. Students need only log into the following website: www.tickettoread.net in order to log their reading and prizes will be sent home directly from the team!
Note: We have plenty of bookmarks left if any students didn't receive one.
