In 1811, the federal government authorized the first domiciliary and medical facility for Veterans. is a government run military veteran benefit system with a cabinet level. it was created due to nearly one third of the population being eligible for veteran benefits since after the Vietnam war and middle east crisis. it was created by Ronald Reagan october 25 1988 but came to effect march 15 1989 with George h.w. Bush. the secretary of the veteran affairs is Robert A. Mcdonald. what the cabinet did was employed veterans and gave them medical assistance programs facilities and more.
