Toy Drive
A Message From The Pine Street Student Council:
Dear Pine Street Families,
Our student council thanks you for all of your participation in our food drive! We were able to collect food for families in our community facing food insecurities. With the holiday season coming up we are starting a toy drive for the Wayland Area Christmas Project (WACP)! This toy drive will also benefit children in our community! WACP is asking for donations of gifts geared towards teens. These can be anything from scented lotions to board games. The toy drive is happening from November 27th-December 8th. The student council would like to thank you in advance for your donation and helping more families in our community!
December Dress Up Days
Pine Street Spelling Bee
Our Pine Street Spelling Bee is coming up in January! Any students that are interested in participating can sign up with their teacher and pick up a practice packet December 4-15th. The first round of Pine Street Spelling Bee is a written spelling test which will take place on January 10th. The top spellers from the first round will then compete in our Spelling Bee scheduled for January 24th. The winner and runner up will then move on to the Allegan County Bee held in February at Otsego Middle School. Good luck spellers!

The winners for the month of November are Elise Llewellyn, Coltin Vegter, Elle Weaver, Jaxson Symons, Hunter Reahm, Abigail Cripe, Phoebe Snyder, Ellie Barnum, Ava Schmidt, Charlie DeVault, Makalynn Cross, Brekken Haveman, Kalina Niemczyk, Maddie Harmon, Emerson Khodl.
Lost and Found
Our lost and found is bursting with jackets, sweatshirts, water bottles and more! Please be sure to have your students check for any missing items they may have! All unclaimed items will be donated during Winter Break.
Capturing Kids' Hearts
This month students will be learning and practicing responsibility through their Capturing Kids' Hearts Leadworthy lessons. According to CKH, responsibility is the willingness and ability to take ownership of our thoughts, words, and actions. We have a responsibility to our school, family, and community to be accountable for our choices and how they impact ourselves and others.
Reminders
Cold Weather
As the weather gets colder please remind your child to bring their cold weather gear! Unless it is significantly below freezing or raining the students will be going outside. It is highly encouraged that your child brings cold weather gear.
Daily Snack
Please remember to send a healthy snack with your student every day! Students who don't have a snack often come to the office for one and our emergency resources are quickly dwindling.
