March is off to an exciting start! Mother Nature decided to have Winter all in one month. We have had many schedule disruptions already this month. I appreciate all of your support and flexibility. Thank you to all our parent volunteers who helped to make our Bee a Reader week a success. Our students learned so much from our community helper guest readers. They were also great teachers to their younger counterparts during our Buddy Reading times. Club Waverly concludes this month. We are working on some make up dates due to weather cancellations and will share those as soon as we finalize them.

Congratulations to our 4th Grade Reading Team!

Mrs. Klee coached several of our 4th Grade students for the NEIU Reading Tournament. The team read 25 books and competed against 4th & 5th grade students in Lackawanna County school districts . The Waverly Team finished in the Elite 8. They finished in 6th place. The students were asked 50 questions about the books they read. Members of the team will receive medals and a swag bag for their accomplishment! Congratulations!!!!
