Create Folders
From your computer:
1. Choose the class for the folder.
2. From the Folder Action drop-down, select Add Folder/Assignment
3. Name your folder. Be specific.
4. Choose No for assignment if this is just a folder for storing files.
5. Select the add button to finish.
* You can copy that folder so that all of your classes have the organizational structure.
6. Select the folder you want to copy.
7. From the Folder Action drop-down, select Copy.
8. The Copy Folder window will open. Select the class location for the folder.
9. Once you've made your selection, choose the Copy button.
From your iPad:
1. Open the Shared Class and Group Files, then select the class where you want to place the folder.
2. Select the + sign in the top right-hand corner.
3. Select Add Folder.
4. Name the folder.
5. Choose No for assignment if this is just a folder that will storing files.
6. Select the Add button in the top right-hand corner.
* You can copy that folder so that all of your classes have the organizational structure.
6. Select the folder you want to copy.
7. Choose the wrench in the top right-hand corner, select Copy.
8. The Copy Folder window will open. Select the class location for the folder.
9. Once you've made your selection, choose the blue Copy Here button.
Upload a File to eBackpack
Upload any of the following file types to eBackpack and students will be able to view and annotate directly on the file: doc, docx, jpeg, ppt, pptx, pdf and many more. You can upload files from your computer and from your iPad.
From your computer:
1. Choose the class.
2. Choose the folder.
3. From the middle section of your screen, choose the Add Files button.
4. Locate and select the file on your computer.
5. Once you've selected the file, choose the Add Files button in the bottom right-hand corner.
*If you want this file to be distributed to all your classes, You can copy it and place in all of your classes.
6. Select the file you want to copy.
7. From the middle section of your screen, choose the Copy button.
8. Choose the class and folder where you want the copy to go.
9. Once you've made your selection, choose the Copy button in the bottom right-hand corner.
From your iPad:
1. Create a folder for the file you want to upload.
2. Make sure the file you want to upload is on your iPad in either Dropbox or Google Drive.
3. Open Dropbox and locate the file you want to upload.
4. In the upper right-hand corner of Dropbox are three icons. Choose the one that looks like a box with an arrow pointing down.
5. Choose Open In . . .
6. Choose eBackpack.
7. Choose the class, then the folder for the file.
8. Choose the blue Upload button.
Create an Assignment
From your computer:
1. Choose the class for the assignment.
2. From the Folder Action drop-down, select Add Folder/Assignment
3. Name your assignment. Be specific.
4. Choose Yes for assignment.
5. Enter your assignment instructions. Be specific.
6. Set a due date.
7. The next option activates the folder to accept turn-ins. If you create this ahead of time you might want to choose no, and turn it on at a later time. Just don't forget to turn it on when it's time for students to turn in work.
8. Decide if you will allow late turn-ins.
From your iPad:
1. Choose Shared Class and Group Files.
2. Choose the class for the assignment.

4. Choose Add Assignment.
5. Name your assignment.

Grade Assignments
1. Open the Assignment Review Folder.
2. Choose the class.
3. Choose the assignment.
4. Select a student's assignment.
5. Select the Mark It button.
6. Grade the assignment.
7. Select the Complete Review button.
8. Enter the grade and any comments you wich to make.
9. Select the Complete Review and Return button.
10. Repeat until all assignments are graded.
