Crazy Doc's rant and raves...
ELA Fidelity Checks are rolling! As we heard from Matt yesterday, you may not teach all sections in the same day. If I miss a section, please invite me back at a time you are teaching that section. Even though the district expectation is that we only do a part of the fidelity check I am doing it all so you have experience and know what the look fors are in the future. Last year I used the fidelity checks to really push instruction and these are not set as well for that, so I am making sure to put a Tower observation in with each one. Please make sure to answer any questions I may ask, that shows me the reflection piece.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Quick hits:
- As you start to put your calendar together for the year, please avoid field trips on Wednesday (Wings), Thursday, and Friday.
- Please keep all tardy passes and send them home quarterly with the report card envelopes.
Teacher Spotlight
Dr. Tarrasch! She is always working to make Bingham a better place!
Do you have a idea for a person in the spotlight? Please let me know.
On-Going Reminders
- If you send a student to the focus room please do so with one of the tickets Casey has provided, that way she knows why they are there. If they do not have a ticket they will be sent back to class.
- Please follow the nurse's stoplight schedule.
- If you send a student to the office please make sure they have a pass.
- Please make sure you are not sending large printing jobs to the basic printers, please send these to the copiers.
- Lunch counts and attendance need to be entered by 9:30, or Terri will start calling.
Stoke Your Optimism to Stay on Top
- Own your problems. We all have them. How are you finding ways to change the things you can change?
- Accept reality. Try not to get too focused on fixing things you cannot influence or change.
- Don't bury negative thoughts. We all have them, and instead of ignoring them, try seeing them as reminders of obstacles to overcome.
- Look for solutions. As the old adage goes, "if at first you don't succeed, try, try again." It's easy to get frustrated when things don't go the way we expect them to. Try reaching out to those you trust for different perspectives and ideas.
