LIFT Weekly Update

All about the Student Ministries at First Baptist Covington

Hey, everybody!

After a week of worldwide tragedy and upheaval, let us be more devoted than ever to the work of God in our world. Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord!

Prayer Breakfast is on as usual tomorrow with delicious pancakes, grits, eggs, and sausage! 7am or 8am!

LIFT is on for Wednesday with FREE DINNER! Also, we'll worship well and continue our new series called TRANSFORM looking at 1 Peter 1-2! 6-7:30pm.

Then, believe it or not, next week is Thanksgiving week! That means there is NO LifeLine on Sunday Nov. 22, NO Prayer Breakfast on Tuesday Nov. 24, and NO LIFT on Wednesday Nov. 25. However, on Sunday Night November 29th, our church is hosting our annual Christmas Cookie Contest! Bring your entries to the Fellowship Hall before 6pm. We'll have a quick church conference, and then eat a bunch of cookies!

Registration for our High School Ski Trip is open HERE! IF WE DON'T HAVE AT LEAST 15 STUDENTS REGISTERED BY THE END OF THIS WEEK, we will have to cancel the trip. However, the trip is now OPEN TO 8TH GRADERS. We'll head up to Winterplace to ski and celebrate New Years, Dec. 30-Jan. 2! The cost will be about $240.

Mark your calendars for Sunday January 10th. We are hosting a one-day conference for parents and teenagers called, "Devices: Living and Parenting in a World of Technology." It will be an incredible night that will equip your family to approach all the technology in your life with biblical wisdom. We're bringing in Adam McLane, author of "The Parents Guide to Social Media," as well as several other experts in various areas. The conference will be FREE, and you definitely don't want to miss it!
