WIC provides nutrition for eligible pregnant and postpartum women and children.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
- SNAP provides food assistance for eligible New Yorkers. SNAP benefits can be used to purchase fresh produce and groceries at participating stores and online retailers.
- All in-person Human Resource Administration (HRA) Appointments are CANCELLED.
- All SNAP application and recertification interviews can now be done online/by phone.
- Apply for SNAP online at www.nyc.gov/accesshra or by smartphone with the ACCESS HRA app. After you submit your application, complete your eligibility interview by calling 718-SNAP-NOW (718-762-7669) anytime between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
- SNAP benefits usually take 30 days to come into effect after the submission of an application, or 7 days with expedited service. Because of coronavirus, there may be significant delays.
- If you cannot get SNAP benefits quickly enough and need urgent help, please call the Emergency Food Hotline at 866-888-8777.

More and more of our students are receiving IPADs from the DOE. Just wanted to provide some information for anyone that hears a student received one.
-If a student has trouble connecting to the internet, they can call AppleCare Support for the NYCDOE at 1-800-919-2775. When prompted, enter the PIN: 692363 (NYCDOE). Note that they should ONLY call this number to ask about setting up their iPad or accessing learning applications. They should not call to check on the status of a device request.
-Some people have reached out asking if apps can be downloadedon these IPADs. Unfortunately for security reasons, students cannot download apps to their iPads.
All DOE iPads should come with the following apps:

Individual Deliveries
Our courier will reach out to you to confirm the delivery address you entered on the request form. Your iPad will be shipped to the address you entered on the request form. If you have already filled out the request form, you will receive a text message or email making sure you have completed the Student Device Loan Agreement. Please complete the agreement when you request a device as your device cannot be shipped unless you have signed the agreement.
- Please keep a copy of the confirmation email or text that you received, as you will need it to show FedEx when they deliver your device.
- Please make sure someone is at the address to accept the delivery, as FedEx will not leave packages unattended.
- Also, FedEx carriers will adhere to social distancing rules.

FAMILY JUSTICE CENTERS
New York City Family Justice Centers are temporarily closed during the COVID-19 crisis. FJC staff remain available by phone to provide immediate crisis support and advocacy. On Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., they are answering FJC phone lines and connecting clients to Community Based Organizations and partner agencies to provide vital services including legal consultations, counseling sessions, safety planning, case management sessions, and more. Between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday through Friday, survivors can reach each FJC directly, by phone:

Court information
As you may know, all NYC Family Court buildings are locked and they are allowing electronic filing and appearances only by phone/video conferencing. Courts are now officially closed, except for essential/emergency proceedings, and there is limited access for pending cases. Immigration updates
USCIS Office Closures
As of March 18, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has temporarily suspended routine in-person services through at least May 3 to help slow the spread of COVID-19. USCIS staff will continue to perform duties that do not involve contact with the public. However, USCIS will provide emergency services for limited situations.
