Last week, students enjoyed attending our PBIS Celebration. We encourage all of our students to keep working hard in class and earning DOJO points. Our next celebration will be in December.

Next week, Eagles will vote on a student in their class who demonstrates self-discipline at all times to be the Eagle of the Month. Once students are selected, invitations to our Eagle of the Month breakfast will go home on Monday, October 25.

At the end of October, we will have our fall festival. Would you or someone you know like to sponsor a fall festival game? We've included links below to donate beginning at $25. Families who sponsor or find a business to sponsor a game at the $75 level will play all games for free. We've had three families sponsor for a total of $400. We thank you for the support.

The Book Fair is coming to Clyde Erwin. Please make sure to send money with your child the week of October 25. We'll also have it open the night of Fall Festival.

We have four important reminders for you this week:

1. Tuesday- 4th grade Reading Check-Ins

2. Wednesday- Strategic Planning Team @ 3:15pm and 3rd-5th grade takes their Math Check-Ins

3. Our Pumpkin Decorating Contest has begun. Mrs. Joy is taking pumpkins decorated as book characters during the month of October with winners announced on Oct. 28. There will be one winner per grade level and winners will receive $5 to use at our book fair.

4. Looking ahead, Wednesday, Oct. 27 is an early release day. We will release students at 11:50.

We're looking for families and businesses to sponsor some of our games at the fall festival. Sponsorships of $75 or more allow a family to participate in all games for free.

During their meeting on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, the Onslow County Board of Education unanimously approved 2021-2022 COVID-19 Protocols and Practices.
