Early Release Days

Important Information

Please know that I realize you have a LOT going on as you prepare for Meet the Teacher Night and the first week of school. My goal is to help you be as organized as possible for the early release days next week. The specials team will be working to keep things up and running all three days.

Please take a moment to look at the documents I have included in your early release day folders.

Step 1: Meet the Teacher Night

The following notes from your class file folder need to be given out at Meet the Teacher Night. It is up to you if you want to place them on a table for parents to pick up as they come in, hand them out in packets as they arrive or have them in mailboxes or on tables.

Step 2: Meet the Teacher Night

In addition to passing out the notes above, these forms need to be filled out by parents and COLLECTED before they leave. If they do not turn them in at Meet the Teacher Night, you will need to contact them to find out how their child is getting home each day.

Step 3: Meet the Teacher Night

Before parents leave, make sure they sign up for a conference time. We will pick up early release children promptly at 12:25 to allow you time for a 30 minute lunch before your conferences begin at 1:00. Feel free to add or delete times as you wish.

I have highlighted in yellow that all daycare/YMCA children should be signed up for a time BEFORE 2:30. Buses will not wait on them if they are in an assessment!

First Day of School

The following spreadsheet needs to be filled in and returned to Roxann by 4:00 on Monday, August 26. I must have this in order to prepare for students to be pulled for assessments on Tuesday.

Parent Reminders

It is up to you how you would like to remind parents of appointment times. I am giving you a sample paper reminder that can be sent home with the child if you need something to use.

Early Release Days

On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, your class will need to be lined up and ready to go by 12:25. Each learner should be wearing a name tag like the one below to assist us with getting them released each day.
