Counseling Department: Academic Advising is Underway
Colgan's counselors are excited to work with students as they begin to consider the 2020-2021 school year. Counselors met with juniors first as they made their selections for the all-important senior year, then sophomores, and finally freshmen.
During academic advising, students can expect to receive information on the following:
- A review of the diploma requirements
- 2020-2021 schedule development
Following the counseling session, students will be able to access the course requests through Student Vue under the "course request" tab. This feature is only available through the desktop-version of an internet browser.

National History Day
Since October, students have been working to complete this research topic, and for it, they had to develop a thesis statement, complete an annotated bibliography (with primary and secondary sources), and create a deliverable (which could have been a research paper, exhibit, website, documentary, or performance). Students also had to present their project before National History Day judges.
Colgan would like to show its appreciation of the hard work of the Social Studies department with a special thanks to Mr. Matt McDonald for his coordination of this year's event.
