Graduation Seal- In Focus
Welcome to Naviance ACT Test Prep
We are excited to offer our juniors ACT Prep, an online course our students are taking to prepare for the ACT Test which will be administered at LHS in the spring. The ACT test continues to be a component of the graduation pathways for Ohio students for the Class of 2023 and beyond. Click here to review these pathways.
Naviance Test Prep has an Adaptive Study Plan that will analyze your student's current standing for the ACT test and personalize a study guide to assist your student in enhancing their test scores.
Naviance Test Prep allows you to:
- Plan a study schedule according to your test date or when you wish to be fully prepared
- Determine and strategize your test readiness to success
- Review necessary knowledge for each exam through lessons, flashcards, practice questions and tests
- Enjoy the Game Center while boosting your test-taking strategies
Over time, you will be able to track your progress and performance in order to adhere to your goals.
We hope that you will find this student quick guide and student video helpful. The link for the student video: https://www.screencast.com/t/iF7pAuPbC

Store It Safe- and commit to reversing the trend of irreversible actions
September is Suicide Prevention Month.
Adolescent suicide has increased 58% in the past 10 years and is currently the second leading cause of death in 10-19 year olds. Suicide in teens can be triggered by seemingly small triggers and happen quickly. Take the pledge and commit to being a part of the solution. By signing up below you will be among the first to receive updates and resources from our SIS program. Join the Ohio AAP in reframing firearm safety discussions to help keep kids safe from unintentional firearm injuries and adolescents safe from suicides by firearms.
The Ohio Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics teamed up with firearm owners, pediatricians and others to create the Partnership for Safety of Children Around Firearms, and a pilot program called Store It Safe, to encourage safe storage of firearms and families to educate their children about safety issues related to firearms.
The goals of the Partnership are to:
- Prevent firearm-related, unintentional deaths and suicides among children and teens
- Change our approach in talking about firearm safety
- Store it Safe and teach children safety around firearms
- Learn more about our Store It Safe Child Firearm Injury Prevention Program, our Store It Safe Adolescent Suicide Prevention Program, Store It Safe Funding, or how you can directly assist in the education and on storing it safe by take the pledge below!

Be sure to remind your senior to mark their calendars, October 25th 9am to Noon.
Does your student have a job? Did you know they can earn elective credit for that?

Virtual College Fairs
You and your students are invited to attend the first NACAC Virtual College Fair of the fall on Sunday, September 11 from 1-6 p.m. (ET)!
You and your students can sign up for free! You can also find a list of participating colleges and universities here.
The virtual fair is a great opportunity to connect with colleges and pursue your college dreams. Have a quick video chat with a rep, drop in on a virtual presentation, send a question through chat - make a connection YOUR way!
Our fairs will also feature MatchMaking! At the time of registration, your students will select the attributes that are most important to them in a college. They will then receive an email that best matches them to the specific colleges and universities based on the criteria they provided. Your students will then reference this email on the day of the fair to connect with their best matches! Students should register early to take advantage of this great feature!
Check out a video on how it all works!
We look forward to seeing you and your students on Sunday!
