IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Entering Renner
Parents/guardians are welcome to request a visit to the school. When planning to visit, please contact the office at least one day in advance so the building principal can set a schedule. The principal has the discretion to set reasonable parameters on school visits (length of stay, number of visitors, etc.). Visitors should limit their visit to the area(s) of the building they have indicated upon check-in with the office. Unauthorized persons found on school property may be subject to arrest or other legal action.
Will all Exterior Doors be LOCKED During the School Day? Visitors must enter the building using the front doors and report to the office. If a visitor needs to enter the building farther than the school office or check out a student, the visitor must register by presenting a valid, state-issued ID to the school’s office staff. Any visit after the first registration will only require a visitor to check in at a kiosk using a valid, state-issued ID.
Do I need to bring my state-issued ID every time when visiting Renner? Yes. Visitors entering the school beyond the office must present a valid, state-issued ID and receive a printed ID sticker that must be worn and visible during the entire stay. Friends of students may not be brought to school or arrive at school as visitors. Unruly or disruptive conduct by visitors that interferes with the educational environment or with extracurricular activities may result in limited access or revocation of visitor privileges to school property or functions.
What is the process for eating lunch with my child? In most cases, parents/guardians are allowed to visit school and eat lunch with their child. The school, however, reserves the right to limit lunch visits in appropriate circumstances. Parents/guardians planning to eat lunch with their child should notify the school office one day in advance.
Image/Contact Information Opt-Out
Park Hill School District often takes or allows members of the media to take photographs and audio-video recordings for positive recognition and promotional purposes. If you wish to opt out of any media or photographs of your child, an opt-out form is available through the school office.
In addition, Renner’s PTA publishes a school directory. If you do not want your child’s or family’s contact information (phone number and/or email) included in the student directory, you had the opportunity to opt-out of the publication at Back to School Night on August 12. If you were unable to attend Back to School night, please contact the school office at 359-4350 to opt out.
Renner PTA
PTA is a major contributor to student field trips, grade level t-shirts and cultural arts activities. PTA is a great opportunity for families to get to know more about our school and provide support to students. Be sure to visit the PTA table at Back to School Night. Membership forms will be available or you can join on the Renner PTA website HERE.
