Fridays at Tplus are important because they allow what we are learning in the classroom to be put into practice, as well as time to connect with community agencies that will assist in students' transition to independence and adulthood.. These Community Based Instruction (CBI) Fridays are run in 5-week modules during which students concentrate on a specific topic for 5 weeks with the same group of students. Topics can include hands-on practice for skills they have learned in the classroom, visits to community agencies, exploring a variety of careers and, post-secondary education, engagement with community experts, and more. Friday afternoons bring opportunities for students to develop their leadership skills through leading their peers in interest-based activities.
