seekonk teachers receive state award!

Mrs. Angelini, Mrs. Schebel, and Mr. Mello have all been awarded a Partner in Excellence Teacher Award for their "exemplary work in the AP STEM and English Program!" They are each one of 52 educators in the state being recognized for their "outstanding contributions to student success during the 2015-2016 academic year." I think I speak for all of us when I say that we are incredibly proud of these three excellent educators. Be sure to congratulate them whenever you get the chance!

Dr. Jones

See you next year!

I decided to go with some video instead of writing. I have to try new things if we are asking students to come out of their comfort zones, work hard, and improve themselves.

Around School...

This week had a variety of things going on around school. First, Mr. Bonneau was conducting the second half of pig dissections in biology. next Mr. Mello was demonstrating the reason baby powder is so flammable and may be considered dangerous. Finally, in celebration of the holidays and world language, there was a mini (5 minute) concert given by one of Mrs. Pelicano's Spanish classes. There is never a dull moment at Seekonk High School!

Congratulations to Seekonk Senior student-athlete Emily Balasco who has just signed a letter of intent to attend Division Two Southern Connecticut State University and to compete on their gymnastics team next year.

The Seekonk/Dighton-Rehoboth coop Ice Hockey team registered their first win of the young season Wednesday night defeating Apponequet High School 3-0 at Driscoll Ice Rink in Fall River. Both Seekonk High School Basketball teams are off to very impressive starts this season. The Girls team presently sits at 3 wins and 1 loss while the Boys have compiled a 2 win and 1 loss record.
